Yesterday our Pediatrician's office had plenty of swine flu vaccinations. So, I pulled Birkley from school, picked Peyton up from her friends, ignored Wilder's nap time and drove on over to the office. 30 minutes later, all three kids were vaccinated. Wilder got his booster. Birkley & Peyton got the "mist". No real tears. A "hello" from Boppa (i.e. Dr. Strong-gpa). Stickers. Treats from Ilene at the front desk. Hand Sanitizer on the way out. I'd say it was a successful afternoon at the doctor's office. Which reminds me...I'm so grateful to have a pediatricians office so close to my house where my kids feel loved (even when they're getting shots) and get good care. Along with that, I'm grateful for a pediatrician for a father in law so I have a ear to bug with all my questions (that way I don't have to call the nurses with my dumb questions) who gets me "inside information" about available vaccinations at his office. I am grateful for the miracles of modern medicine that give us all opportunities to be healthy and happy.

Nice! I have seriously slept better knowing my kids are protected. How lucky are you to have your father-in-law as your doc. That would be sooo nice!
i'm grateful you're back to regularly blogging. the end.
I didn't know your father-in-law was a pediatrician. You lucky girl. Oh how many times I would have loved someone I could call and ask stupid questions. I didn't do the swine flu vaccine, lucked out and didn't get it though.
