The Last Day of Preschool

So, I thought I was doing really well, trying not to have a nervous breakdown that I am now a proud parent of a 5 year old, non-training wheel bike riding, kindergarten bound child....apparently not so! June 12 was Birkley's last day at Challenger Preschool. It was clown day, so they got to dress up in whatever they wanted, Birkley obviously chose our purple princess costume! They had clown activities and snacks, a great way to end the day! As I went inside to pick up Birkley early (she had swimming lessons), saying goodbye to her teachers seemed a little harder than expected. Birkley had wonderful teachers this year, Ms. Chantel and Ms. Jennifer! Birkley absolutely loved both of them, but had a special bond with Ms. Chantel. Ms. Chantel always took special care of Birkley and really helped to instil a love of learning in Birkley. We got a little teary saying goodbye, I had to leave before I really started to cry. It's still hard to see a time of life end, Birkley will never be in preschool again. :{ What fun adventures we have in front of us! I'll try not to be so weapy!
