Book Club

We have a great book club as one of our RS Enrichment groups. We decided to read a LDS book one month and the next just another popular book. We've read a bunch of really great books! I love this little book club. It has turned out to only be about 4-6 people each month and we are a different breed. I am the youngest by about 20 years and the oldest lady is in her 80's, but even though we are all in different stages of life, I enjoy every moment I get to spend with them. It's so great to have different perspectives on every topic we talk about. It has become tradition to do a "weinie roast" in the Joyce's backyard. She has this old cast-iron huge kettle that she has made into a firepit and she pulls out her patio furniture from the 60's probably and we roast weinies and chat and laugh and enjoy. Here are a couple of photos from the night. We did read a really great book, The Enoch Letters by Neal A. Maxwell, I would suggest it to anyone. It's short and quite interesting and thought provoking, giving a perspective on the City of Enoch through letters. Check it out!!!
