Let the Party begin!

LET THE FUN BEGIN!

If you've been waiting all year long to start celebrating my birthday again, it's TIME! Yes, let the party begin! Bree turns 32 (yikes, Really?) in one week...count it down, put it on your calendar, put your presents in the mail, set your iphone calendar alert, February 8 is right around the corner and you don't want to miss it! I like my birthday, for the most part. It's always nice when people remember your birthday. There are always those in my life who need a few reminders in the form of..."what are you doing Sunday-I don't know, what are you doing? oh, just turning 32, nothing much-oh ya, it's your birthday!" But, I know they mean well. There were many years that my birthday was a big let down..maybe I just had too high of expectations. There was the year when I'm sure my friends forgot until they called at about 6pm to see what was going on and I was pissy and then told them they had forgotten my big day. Then there was my 20th birthday which I celebrated in London and only those that were there are allowed to remember the events of that night! (Don't worry-no cops involved and I was not kicked out of BYU London!) There was that really AMAZING year that Matt pulled out a diamond ring the day before my birthday and said "will you marry me'? Then there was the big 30...not so big. And here we are, approaching 32..what's on tap? Looks like a fabulous, mellow, SUNDAY! (I secretly hate Sunday birthdays, though I probably should be grateful to be able to really try and have a spiritual moment on the actual day of my birth.but come on-what kind of party can you have on a sunday? )

Today was the first of what I'm sure will be many, birthday celebrations.:) (if i throw them all myself) Thanks to the Strongs..Jan's always so on top of it! A lovely sweet and sour chicken dinner, with DELICIOUS homemade ceasar salad (with real, homemade croutons) from Lara and Bakers de Normandie breadsticks (LOVE) courtesy of Grandma Sue, and of course the evil chocolate cake I can never get enough of. But, sorry to the men of the Strong clan who missed their superbowl parties to celebrate with me (& my sister-in-law Michelle who's birthday was last week) for about 5 minutes-they were nice enough to come and sing to us during half time. So, thank you to the Strongs for kicking off my birthday week with a BANG! It's going to be GREAT!

If it weren't 11:32 p.m., I would scan in and upload a baby picture of myself...maybe tomorrow.

p.s. I can't believe I'm going to be 32-I don't even remember knowing anyone who was 32..now I only know 30-somethings. What's happened to us? Happy Birthday!

wait, does that mean i'm thirty? or that you don't know me?
can't believe i haven't known about your snarky little wit until this morning. i mean, i knew it was there, just not in the form of a B-L-0-G. seriously, why have you been holding out on me? does this mean we can make you a cake and bring it over on your birthday next week? how about a SLAMMIN' game of blokus!!!! okay, okay, excitment level lowered. really though, i'm making you a cake. i LOVE birthdays and any excuse to make a cake is RIGHT up my alley...especially if we let the babies have a practice round for the big numero uno b/c if's that not blog worthy I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS!!! see you tuesday. 8pm sharp. my house so we can go together.

Hey now, 32 isn't THAT old. Well, it is pretty old, but I'm starting to appreciate and embrace my grey hairs by highlighting and dying them on a consistent basis.

I need no reminder about the bday, however, I'm not so good about actually calling or otherwise letting you know I remember! Sorry :( I will be better.
