I can't believe I have a five year old! What an amazing kid she is. Since we had to leave for San Diego on Thursday, the day of her "real" birthday, we decided to have her friend birthday party on Wednesday. Ever since Christmas, Birkley has told me she wanted a Santa birthday party. She has an amazing memory and she is quite stubborn so when she gets something in her head that she wants, she usually doesn't give up until she gets it. Thank goodness she has these personality traits when it came to her birthday! I had bought all the party stuff on clearance right after Christmas because I knew it would be next to impossible to find any Christmas anything in May...boy was I right! So, her birthday was a hit! Santa even made an appearance, we only had 2 no-shows, and everyone seemed to go home exhausted!
