I HATE cleaning

It's no big secret that I HATE cleaning! I LOVE Emma my old cleaning lady and I miss her desperately! I decided in an effort to support my family in a more money-saving lifestyle, I would quit the cleaning lady (this was months ago). I told myself that I could do it-I could LOVE cleaning, or at least I could DO cleaning. I had a plan: I would do the bathrooms on Monday, the kitchen floors on Tuesday...get the picture? Well, I think my plan lasted about 2 weeks. My house has gone to pot-luckily we're not completely disgusting people and my house isn't that bad, but it is not cleaned on a weekly basis by any means. I know-NOT OK..but I HATE it! I daydream about the days when Emma would come every other Wednesday and the stress of wondering when I should dust never crossed my mind. But now, I just stare at the dust and think..."I'll get that tomorrow!" Some homemaker I am! Maybe in my next life I will be a gal who enjoys the cleaning process. Until then, I will try to clean my toilets every other week and vacumn when I can and sweep and mop the floors whenever I have people over and dust....probably once a season. Thank goodness I have a wonderful husband who gets annoyed with the dirty carpet before I do and who LOVES to tidy up the house-he keeps us on top of it all! Love me for who I am!

Today, Wilder wanted to help mop the floors! (Is a swiffer considered a MOP?)

a swiffer is so a mop....it gets the dirt up and then you throw it away.

I just want to know who cleans their toilets and stuff everyday anyway-
the old poem is still true:
Cleaning and Scrubbing can wait 'til tomorrow
For babies grow up we've learned to our sorrow
So quiet down cobwebs and dust go to sleep
I'm rocking my baby-and babies don't keep!
So, even if you are not rocking Wilder-this time does not keep and now I have no babies and guess what?
I still do not clean all that often!!!!!
You are doing great Bree

we had "ari" when i was growing up. my parents still have her come once a week. when we got married i didn't wash our sheets for an entire month. i know, gross, but stay with me here. i kept wondering when the bed would be stipped, sheets would be washed, and put back on??? sean was such a trooper! he bought me my very own washer and dryer about 1 year after we got married to assist with the process. he also was the one to clean the bathrooms and vacuum, but then he bought a dyson and i LOVE vaccumming with it, you know once a month;-) actually, i've done it twice this month! when you came over and when my dad was in town, go me!

I'm with you there. I'm not the biggest cleaning fan either.

And, yes, the Swiffer is definitely a mop.
