A Little Pea in a Pod

Isn't he a cute little pea in a pod? Don't worry, I did not try to match Wilder's outfit with the sling! I'm not that crazy!
I got this AWESOME, HIP, BEAUTIFUL sling from my aunt Kim and my cousin Lindsay. It's a MOD MUM, locally owned and produced (at least one of them is a friend of my cousin's from Highland High), and it's super cute. When they gave it to me, I was really worried that I was too chubby for it to fit, let's face, it, at 7 months pregnant, I was too chubby for everything! So, I decided to pull it out tonight because Wilder needed me to hold him and I needed to work on dinner..hence the sling. I'm still not sure if I got him in the right way and I'm still not sure the sling fits right, but he fell asleep immediately and slept in the sling for 45 minutes, would you call it a success? He's so damn cute, right???

I do need some advice from you sling buffs out there, does it look like I got it on right? I didn't want to take a picture of him in it with all of me in the photo because I hate how it accentuates all the negatives! So, check it out and see if you can tell if I'm doing it right!

Plus, I just found this fun blog that is holding a contest to give away a Mod Mum sling. Check her out at http://ellinghouse.blogspot.com/2008/03/mod-mumslingin-it-for-win.html . I want to win another sling in a bigger size to use as Wilder gets bigger, since he already seems a little too big for this one. I'm pretty sure he's pushing 12 lbs as he turns 4 weeks old today! I think the Sadie pattern would be cute and a little boy-ish since it's blue.

That is an awesome sling!! So cute.

It looks right to me. Nice job. We went through a period of time with Ellie where she took every nap in the sling. It was a lifesaver.

He really does look like a pea in a pod. He's perfect.

Talk to you soon.

I love it! His bum needs to be on the seam, and I don't think you need a bigger one as he gets bigger. I just left allison a message to ask her.

Lindsay called me and asked me to check out your blog to see if you are wearing the sling right. Linds is right. His bum needs to be lined up the the seam. That is where there is the most room for the baby because the seam is curved. His bum should always line up with the seam, no matter which hold you are using. Try lining the seam up with your nipple.

One more thing, as long as your sling fits correctly you use the same sling from the time your child is newborn until they are 35 pounds. I use the same sling with my 9 month old that I use with my 2 1/2 year old.

You have the right size of sling if it hits at your belly button. It is too small if it is above and too big if it is below.

Sorry for the marathon comment. Hope this helps. Feel free to email me at allison@modmum.com if you have any questions.

http://blondieblues.blogspot.com/ here is Tullers blog, it's not private so I assume it's ok for me to pass it on. I saw KB maybe 5 years ago and we hung out a bit but I have not clue on the rest. Fun times those were.
