Birkley turned 7 on the 17th. Crazy how 7 years has flown by and my first little babe is now 7. I'm old. She decided to invite 4 friends & her sister to lunch and a movie. We had a good time, despite all the attitude that has arrived with her birthday surprises. I won't go into details, but let's just say I felt emotionally beat up by the time the party was over (by my own daughter mind you), and felt like a horrible parent who made the party "bad & boring" according to my lovely 7 year old. It was awesome! A super parent moment.
Despite the horrifying moments of the afternoon, I am so grateful to be Birkley's mom and can't believe all the fun, crazy, exhausting, hard, exciting things we go through each and every day. She is amazing and I am so blessed each and every day that I have the opportunity to be her mother. Let's just hope I survive it! :)
